Having a top notch safety and training program, along with staying up to date on the various health and safety regulations is key to the safety and success of not only Nationwide Power, but to the customers we serve.

SHARP Award Recipient

Nationwide Power is the proud recipient of the SHARP Award. The SHARP award is a voluntary health consultation program that goes a step further from standard OSHA inspections. The purpose of the SHARP program is to help employers identify and resolve potential hazards in the workplace and improve safety programs that are already in place. Learn more about S.H.A.R.P.

Critical Power Professional Credentialing and Training Program

Nationwide Power has spearheaded the Critical Power Professional Training program, in an effort to create a standard of excellence and a stronger level of consistency across the critical infrastructure industry. This designation and credentialing program provides a structured, organized and disciplined growth path for those pursuing a career as a Field Service Engineer in the critical power industry. In addition to the Critical Power Professional Program, Nationwide Power utilizes various methods of training for the Field Service Engineer team on industry related safety. Below is a sampling of the required ongoing training requirements:

  • NFPA 70E Arc Flash: Safe Electrical Work Practices
  • Eye Protection
  • Housekeeping
  • Lockout / Tagout
  • Personal Protective Equipment
  • Back Injury Prevention
  • Bloodborne Pathogens
  • Defensive Driving
  • CPR
  • AED
  • First Aid
  • In conjunction with our on-line program, field service personnel also undergo Safety evaluation from field management, and have their PPE, such as High Voltage Gloves, part of a standard rotation to insure up to date calibration and safe use readiness

"Darren once again saved the day for us. During the recent preventive maintenance, he discovered our input power was well below the 480v that it should have been. I was able to notify our maintenance supervisor who came and discussed the situation with Darren. Because of this, we notified the local utility to come check the main feed to our building. They were able to backtrack the problem to the substation up the street and correct the input voltage issue. I cannot stress how important it is to have a maintenance contract in place, so that you can have professionals like Darren servicing your equipment."
